Burcu Avsar (also known as Buj), Izmir native and half of the creative team Zach & Buj sees things differently. She is a collector of discarded objects and unrealized color schemes. She also has an uncanny gift for inserting the phrase, “what if we” into just about any situation.
She started her career in advertising in the port city of Istanbul Turkey where she was a commercial producer for some agencies you’ve heard of and some you haven’t. After a fair amount of success she decided she wanted a change so she picked up and moved to New York City to become a photographer. After a fair amount of success at that she decided to team up with her long time collaborator and husband Zach DeSart to form, you guessed it, Zach & Buj.
The team are currently creating for a range of clients, contemplating the inner workings of a puppy’s mind and raising an awesome person.
